What is a Brownfield?
A brownfield is a property that has real or perceived environmental barriers to redevelopment. The Brownfields Program provides environmental information to help eligible agencies or organizations move forward with real estate or financial transactions involving brownfields. The program is designed to promote economic growth and community enhancement.
The West Central Texas Council of Governments Department of Environmental Services is currently applying for a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Brownfields Assessment grant. This grant will fund Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments in the west central Texas region.
If you have or know of any sites that would benefit from these assessments, please send me an email no later than Wednesday, October 23rd.
Thank you for your help with this matter and please feel free to call or email me at email@example.com.
