The West Central Texas Regional Foundation is a private non-profit charitable organization organized under Section 501(c)(3). WCTRF provides programs and services to improve the health, education, safety, housing, environment and general welfare of area citizens. Our service area primarily targets the communities in Brown, Callahan, Coleman, Comanche, Eastland, Fisher, Haskell, Jones, Kent, Knox, Mitchell, Nolan, Runnels, Scurry, Shackelford, Stephens, Stonewall, Taylor, and Throckmorton counties.
As a joint effort with the West Central Texas Council of Governments, we were awarded a contract from the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to create an ADRC (Aging and Disability Resource Center) for West Central Texas to connect individuals having disabilites, seniors and veterans with services. wctadrc.org
The Texas Council for Developmental Disabilities is funding a project to more fully include people with disabilities in faith-based communities in Callahan, Jones and Taylor Counties.
(DADS) is also funding a program for determining resources "navigating" housing or the lack thereof for persons in Callahan, Jones and Taylor Counties.
Staff will be working closely with the U.S. Department on Veterans Affairs, Texas Commission on Developmental Disabilities, Area Agency on Aging of West Central Texas, Texas Veterans Commission, 211 and area faith based and community based entities, along with other local, regional, state and federal agencies.
